Our last Macro photography workshop was such a success, that we are planning another one for the Fall. If you are interested in this workshop, please fill out this form and you will be the first to know about the next dates and locations. You can also learn now by taking a private lesson.
- DSLR or Mirrorless Camera
Best Lens Options:
- Macro Lens
- Extension tubes
- Telephoto lens (55 mm or higher zoom)
If you only have the lens, that came with your camera, we highly recommend renting a macro lens. You will experience the true essence of macro photography, getting as close as you can to your tiny subjects. You can rent a lens above with your class registration.
Julie Lee is a Central Florida part-time professional photographer. She has a broad knowledge of photographic styles from wide-angle landscapes and cityscapes to nature, abstract, portraiture and families. Always up for a challenge, macro and infrared photography are of particular interest as they involve unique ways of seeing a subject. As opposed to taking pictures OF a subject, she strives to capture thoughtful images that are ABOUT the subject while conveying what it felt like to be present at that moment via the use of creative techniques.
“I enjoy studying a scene to see what is constant and what is changing (light, water, wind, people). I then strive to capture that feeling in a photograph so the viewer gets a sense of what it was like to be present in that moment. My interests vary between fine art urban and rural landscapes, botanicals, macro, and infrared photography.”
