“Phillips Wharf Environmental Center located on Tilghman Island, MD is a non-profit organization created to provide a hands-on experience and education with the animals and plants that inhabit the Chesapeake Bay region. In addition to learning about the environment, visitors also learn how the Chesapeake Bay watermen harvest the Bay’s resources.
Our mission is nothing short of saving our precious Chesapeake Bay as a natural resource and as a source of healthy seafood and productive jobs for our residents along its shores. It is through the many programs that we can help others understand how the daily decisions we make each day can impact the Bay and its health and well-being.”
Currently, I live in Orlando, Florida and I was born in West Palm Beach, Florida. But at the age of four, I moved to Tilghman Island, Maryland with my parents and baby brother. What proceeded was the most glorious childhood one could ask for in America. Growing up on the on the shorelines of the Chesapeake Bay gave me the opportunity to see the magic of nature in my own backyard, every day. It’s one of the main things that has fueled my love of travel and adventure.
13 years after leaving the Shore and exploring the world, I am honored to return home this Summer and share my passion of photography, travel, and nature in the one place that helped start it all.
I am especially proud to host these inspiring classes at PWEC, a local non-profit organization that is near and dear to my heart and the hearts of my family and friends on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
This weekend of photography classes is more than a chance to learn great camera skills (though you will do that too!). It’s about inspiring you to discover your story see and see all of life through a whole new lens.
